We are excited for another of popcorn sales! This program is a great way for our scouts to get out into their communities. Questions? Email ashleykplummer@gmail.com with subject line "Popcorn."
Teaches Scouts the value & process of setting and working toward goals
Gives Scouts a strong sense of accomplishment through recognition
Enhances communication, leadership skills and confidence in your Scout
Scouts can earn valuable rewards including gift cards and prizes
The Scout carries popcorn with them as they go door-to-door (in a wagon, van or car) and is able to fulfill the customer's popcorn order right away.
Contact leadership if you would like a selection of popcorn.
The Scout goes door to door with a Take Order form.
The customer writes his/her order on the Take Order Form and the Scout collects the money. Check made payable to: Pack 488, or cash is acceptable. Parents may also collect money via other options such as Venmo/PayPal/Zelle and write a check to the pack for total amount owed.
Online Seller IDs have been created for every scout. Please contact Ashley (ashleykplummer@gmail.com) If you have not received this information.
Popcorn is paid for online and shipped directly to the customer. The Seller ID used gets credit for the sale. Chocolate items will be delayed in shipping to avoid melting.
Online products are different than in-person products – additional varieties, chocolates and coffee are also available.
The online store is open longer than in-person sales: August 1 - November 23. This is a great way to bump sales up to next prize level after in-person sales have closed.
Parent or guardian takes an order form to their work. Fellow co-workers write their order on the order form. It is best to collect money at time of ordering
Show and Sells make up a big part of our popcorn program. We've obtained permission from local businesses to set up a sales table. Show and Sells have plenty of products on-hand for people to buy. Different Scouts work at the table in shifts. Always have adult supervision.
Scouts can also create their own Show and Sell
By reaching out to local businesses and getting permission to set up a table for sales. If you do, be sure to let us know. We're happy to help you help us by coordinating other Scout's participation and providing the popcorn!
You can accept payment either at time of ordering or time of delivery.
Cash and checks are accepted
PLEASE NOTE: Checks must be made out to "Pack 488" and NOT "Pack 489"
If you would rather, you can have them make checks out directly to the parent and then write the pack a check at the end. You can also use this method and accept personal Venmo/Paypal payments.
At the end of the selling period, you are just responsible for payment for product sold/military donations. It doesn't matter how that final payment is made.
Make a copy of your order form(s) so you have record of what you sold and who the product will be going to.
The Scout turns in the order form to leadership once they are done selling, by October 27.
Any left over product from door-to-door must also be returned by October 27.
Leadership will work to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, and scouts will be able to deliver product within a couple of weeks.
Final payment for orders is due November 26. We highly encourage collecting payment at time of ordering, and then you can turn in payment with order forms on October 27.
By the November pack meeting, scouts will be notified of their final sales totals
Receive gift cards based on level of sales - prize sheet
Scouts who sell $2,000+ will get 2 free tickets to Columbus Blue Jackets game on 2/28/26 (there is an option to buy extra tickets at a reduced cost)
