This is the national organization dues. It is prorated at $3 per month, so the cost depends on the time of year you join Scouting.
If you join Scouting after September, you are asked to pay dues for the remainder of the current year ($12) to the national office. The pack will also ask you to pay dues for next year ($45). From that point forward you will be billed in September/October of each year.
We highly encourage all Scouts to subscribe to Scout Life Magazine at $12 per year. Many of our Scouts look forward to it and it is well worth the cost of the Subscription.
Pack dues cover the administrative costs to run the Pack for a program year. This allows us to use our fundraiser proceeds on activities for the boys, and also allows us to spend less time fund raising and more time having fun. Dues are $50 per year.
This is the formal Scout uniform. Your Scout will need the shirt ($25-30), hat ($15-18), neckerchief (provided by Pack 100), slide (provided by Pack 100), and belt ($10). Uniform pants are strongly encouraged ($20-25). This uniform is worn at formal functions like parades, pack meetings, some of the den meetings, and during fundraisers. A complete uniform will cost about $ 70 - 85 including shirt, pants, belt and hat. The uniform can be purchased at the Council's Nor'West Scout Shop or online at Scoutshop.org.
This is less formal than the Scout Field Uniform and can be worn at less formal functions like sleepovers, campouts, hiking trips, and as announced. We will be taking orders for the Pack T-shirt later this year. These are unique, one-of-a-kind designs by our own Pack Designer, Colin O'Neill. We hope to order a different design each year.
This is about $13 on Scoutshop.org. A new handbook is required for each rank.
