5.11 CONCLUSION
This chapter has involved a prolonged discussion of the use of our methodology on real world text. Along the way we modified the iterative clustering algorithm to provide for stopping it prior to grouping all words into a single, large, general-word cluster. Then we developed an algorithm for classify the remainder of the lexicon based on the final iterative clustering grouping (the CORE GROUPING). Next we developed a series of algorithms that improved and extended the CORE GROUPING. Although we have not attempted to optimize the results produced by these various algorithms, we do believe that they demonstrate the potential of our occurrence-based processing technique. A number of areas that require additional research were mentioned within the chapter.
