Minjun CHOI's paper on "advanced analysis of tearing mode" to appear in Nuclear Fusion

- 2013/09/26: Minjun's paper on "Improved accuracy in the estimation of the tearing mode stability parameters  (Δ' and wc) using 2-D ECEI data in KSTAR" has been accepted for publication in Nuclear Fusion.

An accurate evaluation of the tearing mode instability parameters such as Delta prime (Δ') and critical island width (wc)

is important in explaining the tearing mode evolution using the modified Rutherford equation. 

Minjun has developed an advanced method to measure the island structure and determine Delta’ and critical width using 2-D electron cyclotron emission images. Preliminary results for the KSTAR 2012 plasmas are explained in this paper.
