Zurich Conference on Public Finance in Developing Countries
The conference is usually held in Zurich in December and is followed by a ski day!
World Bank/ IFS/ ODI Tax Conference
This annual conference brings together leading researchers and policy makers to discuss recent research.
For the 2023 conference (hosted by the IFS in London), the theme was The Political Economy of Public Finances
The theme for the 2022 conference was Global Tax Equity.
The 2021 conference focused on New Tax Instruments, including carbon taxes and other environmental taxes, taxes on the digital economy, and novel sin taxes such as taxes on carbonated drinks.
The 2020 conference focused on Taxing Personal Income and Wealth in Developing Countries.
The 2019 conference focused on The Value Added of Value-Added Taxes.
