Ground Rules
On Monday 10th March 2014 the group agreed the following ground rules to help people feel comfortable, safe, and able communicate at Oxford Aspies. The group reviewed and updated them Monday the 23rd of September 2019.
RULES:
Respect personal space - allow 1 arm length where possible.
No hugging/touching (apart from hands, with permission).
Keep the volume down.
Do not use rude/aggressive language.
Respect each other's feelings & opinions.
Each meeting has a 'quiet table' where people can observe without talking.
Be mindful of private conversations. If you are having a private conversation, find a suitable place to talk.
Group decisions to be agreed by all/a majority of the group.
Don't get drunk.
It is each member’s responsibility to say or do something if they feel uncomfortable – e.g. say how they feel and/or move away. And/or you could tell a volunteer or another member.
Please do not ask personal questions or discuss topics which make people feel uncomfortable.
People are expected to follow the pub rules and not be violent.
