I'll be defending my Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science at UW-Madison this fall and and I've accepted a postdoctoral scholar appointment at Vanderbilt University which I will start shortly afterward.  (Aug. 2013)

Dr. Jill (Young) Vollbrecht 2013 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI

Dr. Jill (Young) Vollbrecht has been named the 2013 Oshkosh West High School Distinguished Alumni. She will be inductedat a school-wide ceremony on May 17. Jill is a 1993 graduate of OWHS. In 2007 she became Staff Endocrinologist at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. She was named Associate Clinical Professor at Michigan State University in 2009. Dr. Vollbrecht is currently Co-Medical Director at Northern Michigan Diabetes Initiative in Traverse City. She is an expert in the field of diabetes. Jill has published articles and developed web and smartphone apps for physicians. Jill lectures and has developed community outreach programs. We look forward to honoring her in May.
