The firing process of the pottery in the kiln has to be controlled. The important parameters are the maximal temperature and the rate of the temperature increase. The temperature of the potter's clay during the firing should increase at the beginning of the process slowly and the rise of the temperature may increase at the end of the firing. The controller offers a possibility to specify 3 heating phases, hold time at the maximal temperature and one cooling ramp. The first phase serves to remove the rest of the humidity from the clay. Chemically bounded water is removed during the second heating phase and, finely, the pottery is fired during the third phase. The temperature rate should be slow in the first phase, moderate in the second phase and quick in the third phase. The controller can hold the maximal temperature constant for a defined time, for example for a fusing process. The controller gives also possibility to slow-down the cooling process by an additional heating during the cooling. This is important by glass fusing.
Up to 10 firing programs can be saved in the controller. The start of the firing programme can be postponed to use the kiln in time of a cheaper current.
All parameters can be set by an integrated keyboard or using smartphone (Android based).
The controller is prepared for all types of standard thermocouples.
