TM129 comprises three distinct Blocks: Networking; Robotics & Operating Systems and the links on the lefthand side of this Web site will guide you to additional resources that you might find useful in your studies.
Networking: uses online training materials available from CISCO who provides a Network Essentials training module plus a Packet Tracer network simulator tool for practical activities.
Operating systems: This block focuses on the Linux operating system which is one of the worlds highly used operating system as it is at the heart of most of the world's Web servers. Linus is installed on students' computers using virtualisation software that allows Linux to be installed within a host operating system.
Robotics & AI: Introduces you to the world of robots and artificial intelligence. The module materials introduce the use of robots in a wide range of activities including their social and domestic applications. The practical activities is accomplished through a robot simulation tool called RoboLab which runs within your browser.
The diversity of the blocks makes TM129 one of the most interesting module that students will ever study - I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy teaching it.
