RCD - The Movie shows how Recursive Constraint Demotion works (Tesar & Smolensky 1993; Prince 2002). RCD is an efficient method of determining whether a ranking exists for the candidate sets under consideration, with the added bonus that it identifies some of the successful rankings, if they exist.
