I do research on energy systems, mostly about modeling and optimization.
European Master on Renewable Energy in the University of Oldenburg and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Groningen), 2017/2018.
Evaluation of temporal complexity reduction techniques applied to storage expansion planning in power system models, with J. Bartels, Energies, 13(4), 988 (2020).
Comparison of different methods of spatial disaggregation of electricity generation and consumption time series, with T. Dengiz, W. Medjroubi, C. Unaichi, A. Bruckmeier and R. Finck, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 163, 112186 (2022).
MODEX-NET: The projects has the aim to identify and analyze the differences between 8 different electrical transmission grid models, by means of optimizing harmonized scenarios, including a comparison of the methodological principles, the grid topologies and the power data (generation, demand and storage).
