Here are some powerpoint presentations and worksheets that could be used to supplement teaching or learning for educators and students. Many of these follow the Cambridge International Examinations syllabus (A Level - mostly AS and a little A2 chemistry). The list is not the complete list of resources for all topics on the curriculum. You should carefully check contents to suit your own teaching plans, syllabus and assessment criteria. These teaching or learning aides would supplement a teaching plan or strategy. Chemistry is a practical subject (based on laboratory experiments) and the more classroom demonstrations and laboratory experiments students observe will bring the subject to life and consolidate theoretical ideas taught in class. Happy learning - this list and links may be updated!

The files included cover topics in physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and practical work, including questions and answer sheets for practice (suitable for Cambridge International Exams), but also applicable to other exam boards (check the syllabus).
Tip. When graphs are plotted, you need to plot data on the correct axes. Independent variables – the variable that is being changed during the experiment. Dependent variables – the variable being tested or measured during the experiment. Everything else is controlled (doesn't change) to make it a fair experiment. Independent variable: (input) variable being changed (X) HORIZONTAL AXIS ON GRAPH; dependent variable: (output) variable being measured (tested) (Y) VERTICAL AXIS ON GRAPH (typically: y = mx + c). The dependent variable is the event expected to change when the independent variable is manipulated. For example in rate graphs, concentration is plotted on the y axis and time on the x axis and line of best fit drawn (in this case it's a curve of decreasing gradient).
Be sure to do as many past paper questions as possible, checking answers with official exam board mark schemes, to see how answers are structured and graded (sometimes alternative answers are allowed). Summary of (CIE) AS chemistry organic chemistry reactions linked below.
