Dr Jiyoul Lee is currently a professor in department of Semiconductor Engineering, Pukyong National University, Busan, S. Korea. He received a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Ph. D. degree in Applied Physics from Yonsei University (Seoul), in 2001 and in 2006, respectively. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. Then, in 2008, he joined Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), Yong-In, S. Korea, as a Research Staff Member to work on flexible display backplane driven by printed organic semiconductor-based thin-film transistors. From 2013 to 2014, he had been a Senior Researcher in Holst Centre / TNO, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where he was mainly involved in the project for organic and oxide transistors on flexible plastic foil. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and 20 patents. His research interests include thin-film technology and devices based on nanomaterials as well as organic and metal-oxide materials for various applications in large-area and flexible electronics including circuit, displays, and sensors, etc.
