Violin classes are conducted by internationally renowned Indian violinist,
Karthik Subramany with over two decades of experience. Karthik started to play violin at the age of five and gave first performance at the age of nine, at Ganesh temple in Bangalore. He has undergone training in Indian Classical, Carnatic music under eminent musicians such as M. Chennakeshavan, disciple of Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna and Vidwan R.S Ramakanth, son of Sangeetha Kalanidhi R.K. Srikantan. He has participated in many competitions and has won prizes. Being passionate about violin, he has not only restricted his violin playing to classical music but also well versed in playing Bollywood hits, Fusion, Ghazals and Irish folk. He has successfully completed the Senior grade from Karnataka board, Western music theory course from the University of Edinburgh, UK with a score of 98% and Developing musicianship course from Berklee College of Music, USA with 100%. He has also successfully completed Teaching the Violin and Viola course from Northwestern University, USA with Distinction. Currently, he is Coursera's community mentor for NorthWestern Universitys' violin teachers. He teaches violin at two music schools and conducts violin classes online to students Worldwide.
