About Us

The One More Time Marching Band (OMT) has been a Eugene-area institution since 1986. The band got its start playing in the Eugene Celebration parade, and parades have remained close to our hearts. But we've also come to love playing at concerts in the parks, at baseball games, and at all kinds of community celebrations. The affairs of the band are managed by the One More Time Band Council.

Core Values of the One More Time Marching Band

  • Playing band music well

  • Having fun

  • Building musical skills

  • Community entertainment

  • A rubber chicken in every case

OMT Members Are Expected to:

  • Display respect for the director, every band member, and the general public while representing OMT.

  • Respect the rehearsal process (e.g., no talking or disrupting during rehearsal).

  • Perform band member duties at rehearsals and gigs.

  • Be prepared to play for the director’s prompt rehearsal/gig downbeat.

  • Understand rehearsal is for group practice; “woodshed” it outside of OMT rehearsal time.

  • Make every effort to attend weekly practices as this is where members receive any music changes; it also allows all to hear the full band balance.

  • Participate in every gig a member commits to.

  • Wear the official OMT band shirt to every OMT gig.

  • While primarily a band, OMT may have valued members who are unable to march, but who participate in sit-down gigs.

  • (for marching gigs) Be able to march a whole parade route; learn or tune up parade marching skills (including being able to march and play simultaneously); and the willingness to learn marching styles and silly maneuvers.

  • Represent OMT in a good light when acting as an OMT member.
