The mission of Nebraska Kerala Samajam is to promote and celebrate the culture and values of the Kerala diaspora in Nebraska and its surrounding communities.

The vision of creating an organization to unite the Malayali community in Nebraska was first conceived by Sree Uncle in 2001. He shared his idea with Mr. Sunny Andrews, who, in turn, connected with Mr. Joseph Mathew to invite a few friends for a meeting to discuss making this vision a reality.

On October 13, 2002, the inaugural meeting took place at Sree Uncle and Ambika Aunty's residence, where the name “Kerala Samajam Nebraska” was officially adopted.
