The math camp is a rigorous 40-hour course expected to build a good mathematical foundation that will enable in-coming Ph.D students to keep up with the quantitative demands of the Food and Resource Economics Ph.D program.
· I independently taught the Math camp
· For the first time in 4 years, none of the students in the Summer 2014 class dropped out of the Ph.D program after writing their first year qualifying examination because the satisfied the math requirement.

This course basically entails the application of microeconomic theory to managerial decision making process.
· I taught the session titled “Choosing the Firm’s Input and Output level”.

§ AEB 2014 (Food, Economics and You)- Online Class
The primary objective of the course is to explore the basic tool kit of economic concepts that will enable students to critically analyze the choices they face as consumers and world citizens.
· I made use of online teaching tools such as the UF eLearning platform to communicate with students and generate discussions.
· My duties included holding office hours to answer my students’ questions, grading, and proctoring of exams.
§ AEB 3103 (Principles of Food and Resource Economics)
This course thoroughly reviews the fundamentals of microeconomics that govern the theory of the consumer, consumer choice, production economics, economic theory of the firm, the functioning market, agricultural production, and international trade.
· My duties included holding office hours to answer my students’ questions, grading, and proctoring of exams.
· I also communicated with students via email in order to answer questions from students who are not able to make it to my office hours.
· I made appointment with my students outside office hours for those who cannot make it to my office hours and wants a one-on-one meeting.

§ I also held tutorial classes for students in the College of Agriculture on how to calculate the fertilizer rate to be applied to given field based on the fertilizer requirement.
