Hengchen Dai joined the faculty of Anderson School of Management in 2017. She is an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations as well as a faculty member in the Behavioral Decision Making area. Prior to Anderson, Hengchen was an Assistant Professor of Organization Behavior at Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. 

One stream of her research applies insights from behavioral economics and psychology to motivate people to behave in line with their long-term best-interests both inside and outside of the workplace (e.g., avoiding counterproductive behaviors, maintaining a healthy lifestyle). Another stream of her research examines judgments and behavior on online platforms (e.g., Alibaba's retailing platform, Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, Amazon's review system).
