Research Group in
Stochastics, Spatio-Temporal Statistics and Data Science Applications
The research group is interested in the theory and application of stochastic processes and statistics. The research interests of the group have 3 broad directions:
Fundamental theoretical topics, in particular, the theory of random fields, limit theorems, stochastic differential equations, long memory processes, multifractional and multifractal processes;
Applied mathematics topics, in particular, investigations of properties of solutions of SPDEs, sampling and wavelet methods, metrics and similarity measures;
Statistical and data science applications, particularly, computational statistics, spatial data analysis, approximation methods, anomaly detection, genetic algorithms, prediction and data mining methods, with applications to cosmological, signal processing, financial, environmental, medical and other data.
