Oleksiy Larin graduated with summa cum laude from National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnical Institute" (NTU KhPI, Kharkiv, Ukraine), with an MSc in Applied Mathematics in 2006. He was a PhD student in NTU KhPI from 2006 till 2009 then successfully defend his dissertation and get a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2016 Oleksiy Larin successfully defended the dissertation and obtained the degree of doctor of engineering science (hab.) In the field of Mechanical Engineering.
From 2007 Mr Larin was involved in the pedagogical work initially in a position of the assistant lecturer as second employment. He worked in 2009-2018 as a Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor in the Dynamics and Strength of Machines department in NTU "KhPI".
In 2018 Dr. Larin received a position of the vice-director of the Institute of Education and Science in Engineering and Physics (IES EngPh) at NTU KhPI and in 2019 He was elected on the position of the Director of the this Institute.
Mr Larin is married to Ganna and they have a daughter Ksenia 11 and a son Mykyta 4. They live in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
