How to play
The rules for Marble Solitaire are very simple: A marble can "jump" over one next to it and into an empty hole. The marble you have jumped over will be removed from the board.
Select the marble you want to move by touching it, then select the hole you want to move it into. If you don't have a touch screen phone you can use the D-pad. Selections are highlighted.
You can't jump diagonally, moves must be vertical (up/down) or horizontal (left/right).
If you make a mistake or change your mind you can press the undo button on the screen. You can press undo repeatedly and retrace all your moves back to the beginning.
The counter shows the number of marbles left on the board.
The game is over when there are no more moves possible.
The objective is to get down to a single marble left, but, beware, this is actually quite difficult. Getting down to 2 or 3 is a reasonable result.
You can leave a game at any time and return to it later by selecting Continue Game.
Hints:
Solutions to both the English and Continental (European) board layouts have been programmed into the game. To access these go into Settings... before you start a New Game and select Hints. This will mark the marble you have to move at each stage with a letter H. Sometimes there will be more than one move possible; if you make the wrong one the H will disappear. Undo the last move and try again.
Other Settings...
The layout on the left shows the traditional English board, the one on the right is the traditional Continental (European) layout. 2 of the 3 available Colour schemes are shown. To change the colour scheme during a game press the Menu button.
