Coming to Woodstock

Welcome to "Coming to Woodstock"

Woodstock, Connecticut is located 60 miles west of Boston along the route of the Old Connecticut Path midway to Hartford. Native American trails came together in Woodstock that later served as pathways west. Today a visit to Woodstock is a chance to rediscover the beauty of the land that has captivated Native Americans who first settled here more than 2,000 years ago, pioneers who traveled here almost four centuries ago, and the people who today preserve a quieter place away from the bustle of the modern world.

"Coming to Woodstock" is part of the "Coming to New England" project. This summer the Old Connecticut Path project will feature some of the places from the Massachusetts Bay to the Connecticut valley touched by these pioneers and their descendants. Follow their paths to connect with your own family stories!
