Welcome to the OIB Ghost Walk

But if you need some Ghost Stories of the Brunswick Coast - check out our updated book at Lulu.com.
Ocean Isle Beach or simply OIB is a small seaside town located in Brunswick County, North Carolina. OIB looks south into the Atlantic and looks directly into our nation's history. First touched by Europeans in the 1520s this 6 mile stretch of beach has born silent witness to the passage of the great events of our history. Today OIB is a vibrant seasonal vacation location, well-known for wonderful white beaches, vast marsh savannas and a wonderful ocean breeze. The beach runs offers a fishing pier, public boat launch facility, direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway, and beach paths every 500 feet (150 m).
Ocean Isle Beach has a rich and unique history that spans 500 years replete with Spanish conquistadors, settlers, pirates, colonists, plantations, civil war naval battles, shipwrecks, whiskey smugglers, NAZI U-Boats, epic storms, sunken ships, and mysteries lost to the veil of time and the sea. But Ocean Isle Beach has one more claim to fame - it is also one of the most haunted places in one of the most haunted counties on the East Coast.
Come and judge for yourself - you are invited to walk with us at Ocean Isle Beach and hear the stories, the history, the legends and myths. We look forward to seeing you here.
