CONSTITUTION

OHIO TOOL COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION

Adopted January 6, 1974 at Springfield, Ohio

ARTICLE 1: NAME

The Name of the organization shall be:

OHIO TOOL COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION

 

ARTICLE II: PURPOSE

1.       To promote and encourage the collection and preservation of the tools of crafts, trades and industries of bygone days

2.       To study, identify and classify tools with respect to their origins, modifications and evolution

3.       To disseminate freely, either by publication or word of mouth, the knowledge gained in the collecting and study of tools

ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP

1.       Membership in the association shall be open to people from any state

2.       Active membership shall be the only class of membership

ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS

1.       The officers shall be President, Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer

2.       All officers will serve a term of two years

3.       Officers shall be residents of Ohio

4.       Officers shall be elected by the membership

ARTICLE V: BOARD OF DIRECTORS

1.       The Board of Directors shall consist of the officers of the association, the immediate past President, plus three members elected by the membership. The non-officer board members shall serve three year terms, except that at the time of the adoption of this article, one member shall be selected for one year, one member for two years and one member for three years

ARTICLE VI: AMENDMENTS

1.       The constitution may be amended by two thirds vote of the active members present at the designated annual meeting

OHIO TOOL COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION

 

ARTICLE I: DUTIES OF THE BOARD

1.       To manage the association and guide the word of the officers

ARTICLE II: MEETINGS

1.       The association shall meet in Ohio at least semi-annually with a Spring and Fall meeting. The Spring meeting shall be considered the annual meeting for the purpose of electing officers.

ARTICLE III: DUES AND FINANCES

1.       Dues shall be determined by the Board of Directors and for the present time, the annual due shall be $25.00 for 1 year or $100 for 4 years, starting in 2024.

2.       The Secretary-Treasurer shall be custodian of the association funds, collect dues, keep accurate records and disburse funds under the direction of the Board of Directors

3.       Members will be dropped from membership who are delinquent in payment of dues after three months following two notifications by the Secretary-Treasurer

ARTICLE IV: ELECTIONS

1.       The nominating committee at each election shall be the Board of Directors with provision that nominations from the floor be permitted

ARTICLE V: COMMITTEES

1.       Necessary committees for finance, membership, programs, meetings, publications, etc. will be appointed by the President
