A number of training aids are available to help clinicians learn how to use the Ohio Scales in practice.
The original video presents early thinking about the uses of the Ohio Scales. You are welcome to download, link to, and use these materials for your own training purposes.
Recently the Child Health and Development Institute in Connecticut developed an Ohio Scales Training that can be accessed by following the steps below:
Kids Mental Health Training :: The Child Health and Development Institute
Select “View Training Catalog”
Select “A Comprehensive Introduction to the Ohio Scales for Youth”
Select “Enroll in the Course”
If this is your first time taking a Kids Mental Health Training course, follow the instructions to register. You will need to enter your email and set up a password to register for the learning management system
Select “Go to Course” to begin the training
To view your completed course transcript and CEU certificate, go to the same website as above: Kids Mental Health Training :: The Child Health and Development Institute and select “User Dashboard”
In the upper right-hand corner of the site, you will see a blue “Login” button. Once you log in, it will show “your name”. Click on “your name” and you will see a drop-down menu.
Select “Student Dashboard”, then “Completed”. You should be able to view your completed courses and links to “View” and “Download” the CEU certificate
