Mini Grant Guidelines

OAK GROVE SCHOOL FOUNDATION MINI-GRANTS

Since the 1998-99 school year, the Oak Grove School Foundation, with substantial support from the Sandy River Charitable Foundation, has been offering a program of Educational Mini-Grants to faculty from more than thirty selected central Maine high schools. The offer rotates so that any given school becomes eligible every few years. Grants are awarded to individual teachers or groups of faculty in amounts up to $1,000 each.

Grants are for projects and/or resources that will directly impact students. The OGSF seeks applications which promise innovation that will enhance curriculum. Projects that result in residual effect and usefulness beyond the immediate use of funds. The Foundation does not usually favor field trip requests, unless they are highly innovative. Any teacher, including counselors, ed techs, et al., interested in applying for an Educational Mini-Grant from a selected school should:

1) Complete the form below (note the signatures required);

2) Attach a narrative (one-page maximum) that:

—establishes the need

—describes the project

itemized budget (please provide prices and source)

DEADLINE: Applications MUST BE RECEIVED by Friday, October 2nd, 2020

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE APPLICATIONS. Decisions will be made as soon as possible, and funds will be made available to successful applicants the first of the new year.

PLEASE NOTE: a brief report (no more than one page) by the faculty recipient(s) documenting the expenditure of Mini- Grant funds is requested by the end of the next school year.
