Printable form (PDF)

The OER Steering Committee is accepting grant applications from SUNY Broome faculty who seek financial support for OER projects. Faculty who are adopting an existing OER may use the OER Adoption Award Agreement to apply for an award of up to $500. The Committee will consider other grants of up to $3,000 for:

· faculty who want to build OER from existing open materials

· faculty who want to create new OER

· faculty who want to pursue professional development activities that will lead to the adoption of OER

The SUNY Broome Learning Resources Center will offer support with regard to creating, finding and adapting materials, course redesign, assessment, and accessibility review.

Grant recipients will be expected to become contributing members of a community of practice surrounding the use of OERs at SUNY Broome.

Attach a page with a description of how the project will be structured and organized, including a brief timeline. We recommend including:

    • A brief outline of course objectives

    • A budget explaining the reasoning for the amount requested

    • A statement of how the proposed project budget aligns with the project objectives.

    • Potential approaches (see Approaches to OER) and materials (see OERs by Subject) to be used to meet these objectives

  • Elements of your course that will require redesign

    • Reflection on how you will assess your project’s success

Completed applications should be sent to Paul Bond (bondph@sunybroome.edu) in the library, mail stop #56.
