BearingList

The way to create directional alerts in poi:

ExtraPoiEditor (EPE) by Turboccc is a Poi editor that can make directional alerts in Poi, in .gpi format for garmin gps.

Unfortunately, the map function in EPE is no longer functional. But EPE is still possible to use by disconnecting the internet function.

Unfortunately, this makes the road a little more difficult.

There are two methods of getting directional alerts.

*Circle list. (work in every Garmin)

*Bearing list. (work in the newer Garmin)

Since Garmin has not implemented this in the GPX schema, only in the .gpi format, Turbo created its own GPX schema for EPE.

Use only CircleList or BeraringList, not both in same Poi if you want to make the alert directional.

The gpi file must be produced with EPE.

EPE can only create .gpi with 1 wave file.

*BearingList are alert bearings inside the proximity.

*When using bearinglist, the whole alert moves in to the bearing.

*No alert inside the rest of the proximity, except inside the bearing.

*Crossing the coordinate of the poi before bearing gives no alert.

*Crossing proximity inside bearing before coordinates of the poi gives alert.

*North 0 degrees , east 90 degrees, south 180 degrees, west 270 degrees.

*Tolerance is degrees from bearing, tolerance 25 degrees will be 50 degrees total

You can use MapSouce or Bascamp and a "On screen protractor" to find bearing and tolerance.
