Welcome to the Okaloosa County Music Teacher Association web site. We are a non-profit organization that provides support and opportunities for music teachers and their students in Okaloosa County, Florida. We are affiliated with the Florida State Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association.

We invite you to come and join us in this rewarding professional association. You will have the thrill of having your students participate in nationally recognized music programs, and the satisfaction of promoting continued personal growth in the pursuit of the art we all love, music.

We have regular meetings at 9:30 AM on the 4th Friday of the month except as announced. Each meeting starts with a business update and ends with a music presentation or program.

September 24, 2021 9:30 AM Meeting: Special Guest through Zoom - Yoriko Fieleke

Ms. Fieleke is a faculty member and lecturer at the Golandsky Institute’s Summer Symposium at Princeton University, and she provides training and mentorship to teachers in the Golandsky Certification Program. She has been invited to give lectures and master classes at the New England Piano Teachers Association, the Longy School of Music of Bard College, and the Northshore Piano Teachers Guild. Ms. Fieleke is the founder and program director of the Golandsky Boston Summer Workshop, where she shares cutting edge information on the Taubman Approach with Robert Durso.
