The Oceanside Garden Club

Oceanside, New York

"Flowers, Like Friendships, Must Be Cultivated"

Member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. and the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc. Our members include residents of Oceanside NY and surrounding Long Island communities

The Oceanside Garden Club was established in 1941 to spread the knowledge and love of gardening, to beautify our home grounds and our community, and to encourage the preservation of natural resources.

We have 8 regular meetings and one fund raiser during the year. Our meetings at the Oceanside Library include guest speakers and are designed to educate our members and the community in the fields of horticulture, conservation, artistic flower arranging, and landscape design.

Our in person meetings have been suspended due to the Coronavirus. Until further notice, all meetings are via the Oceanside Library zoom.

The Oceanside Garden Club finally was able to plant our 2020 Arbor Day Tree on Oct. 26, 2020. A native Eastern Redbud tree planted at the delightful Baldwin, NY Community Garden. The Baldwin Community Garden is a lovely area behind the Baldwin Historical Society Museum off Grand Ave. It is a spot that beautifies the community, and encourages the preservation of natural resources.
