Northwest Simulation Services

Northwest Simulation Services is a provider of computer-aided engineering services using MSC's EASY5TM simulation software.

With EASY5, you can model and prototype the behavior of hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, electrical elements, and other systems.

  • Does your new valve design cause an instability in your actuation system?

  • At what rate can your electric vehicle motor regenerate energy for the batteries?

  • Are your heat exchangers and reservoirs sized correctly to reject your heat loads?

  • Can your pumps provide enough fluid power at all operating conditions to your 4WD hydraulic system?

  • What kinds of hydraulic and electromechanical failures could cause a particular accident scenario in your aircraft or vehicle?

  • Will your landing gear and steering operate and deploy within specifications in extreme conditions?

  • Does your pneumatic extension system operate quickly enough? What kind of compressor is needed to just meet the specifications?

  • At Northwest Simulation Services, we have 35 years of experience answering these kinds of questions with EASY5.We can help you document, design and debug your complex mechanisms with an EASY5 simulation.

  • Save time and effort by jump-starting your simulation efforts - we'll build a working model for you.

  • We can help with particularly difficult simulation tasks and offer customized tutoring.

  • We can create a custom EASY5 library of components tailored to your company's needs.

Northwest Simulation Services was established to provide efficient simulation and modeling engineering services to enterprises. Because we are small, we have minimal overhead and can efficiently deliver services at a lower cost. This web site reflects our philosophy – you won't see fancy graphics and marketing hype, just information about our professional skills.

Our chief analyst is Claude Ginsburg. Claude has been working with EASY5 for over 35 years, starting with the early development of its graphical schematic interface (so novel that a paper was published detailing its design*). Over the last decade, he was the chief developer and support person for EASY5 fluid power applications, as well as other EASY5 functions. In the course of his employment with first Boeing and then MSC, Claude has assisted thousands of engineers in their successful, cost-saving simulation efforts.
