I enjoyed a school teacher's explanation of why the phrase "teaching NVC" didn't really work so well for her: to teach math you share a set of facts and formulas. While NVC (speaking and living compassionately; focusing on connection rather than outcome) involves a body of knowledge one can learn; the heart, the way of being, is so personal that it needs tailoring. While one can learn the basic principles of compassionate communication in a short, focused time, to integrate that into our lives requires practice. After learning concepts and paradigms, we begin our journey of practice. For such a journey, it is faster and more fun to have support; someone to help you grow and refine your skills of living and speaking from a place of compassion and caring. I am available to help you learn and grow your skills for compassionate communication and achieve your goals, recent or long-held.
"i want to mention that i am grateful to you for being my coach. the amount of change that is going on inside me has created upheaval in my life and our interactions have been an anchor for me. i imagine that without your consistent presence and clear reflections that i would be feeling much more lost. i'm so grateful for the clarity and acceptance that comes out of our calls in the middle of such turmoil. thank you for your clarity and companionship and the continuity of your presence with me in my world, which is such a support for me."
