Nano Structured and Optical Materials Lab
Our group is involved in theoretical and experimental studies involving electromganetic wave and matter interactions with an aim for device fabrication.
The key research interests are:
Size-Property (electrical, mechanical and optical) relationship of Nanomaterials for different applications, High temperature alloys
Bulk to Nano: Plasmon based materials and metamaterials for optical sensing devices in Visible and IR regime. Rheology of Nanoporous gels and their Raman response.
Bulk to Micro: Electromagnetic response studies in GHz Regime for transmission and receiving applications.
FEM (Finite element Method) and DFT (Density functional theory) studies

Mr. Ayush Pratap selected for TEEP internship for the research topic of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence at National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan August 2022 to January 2023.
Mr. Gaurav Pal Singh selected for 12th International Conference on Metamaterials, Photonic Crystals and Plasmonics at Spain followed by 2-month research internship in my group at the Dept. of Physics, Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany July to Sept. 2022.
Dr. Kushagra Goyal graduated from NSOM lab July 4th 2022.
Dr. Neha Sardana Awarded the IEI Young Engineers Award 2021-22 under the Metallurgical & Materials Engineering Division, The Institution of Engineers (India), 2022.
