The Salve Regina University 5k is always a good race right in our backyard. There's always a group of us at the race and it's a fine opportunity for attracting new recruits.

The USATF-certified 5K (3.1 mile) course starts and finishes on the Salve Regina campus and includes a run through Newport's historic Bellevue Avenue/Ochre Point neighborhood of Gilded Age mansions and spectacular ocean-side landscapes.
Side Note: Salve's football team practices Tuesday morning during our track workouts. So after seeing them practice week after week, a few of us are also going to try and catch their game at 1pm at JH Gaudet Middle school against MIT!
