Thank you to everyone who attended the Northern Colorado New Horizons Band season finale last Saturday afternoon. We truly appreciate your support throughout the season.
We would also like to extend a special thank-you to Bob Latchaw for leading us in two of his original pieces. He is a pleasure to work with, and we are grateful for his talent and leadership.
Aside from our Ensemble performances, regular rehearsals will resume after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. We wish you all a wonderful summer and safe travels to those enjoying vacation time.

This year’s showcase highlights the incredible range of our musicians, featuring soulful performances by the NHB Brass Choir, the lively sounds of the Greyrock Jazz Band, and the high-energy set of the NHB Swing Band. Whether you're a lifelong jazz aficionado or just looking for a vibrant night out in the community, this concert is the perfect way to welcome the arrival of spring with great music and even better company.

Many thanks to our amazing audience for this past Saturday's Northern Colorado New Horizons Band's Winter Concert! It was wonderful seeing so many of you and we really appreciated your generosity!
We have two upcoming performances to mark on your calendars. The first is our 3rd annual "Swing Into Spring" Jazz Concert on Friday, March 20th, 7 p.m. at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, Hunters Run, 2919 Wilson Avenue, Loveland. This concert will feature The Greyrock Jazz Band, the New Horizons Brass Choir, and the New Horizons Swing Band.
Our second upcoming performance is our season finale Spring Concert performed by the Northern Colorado New Horizons Concert Band. This will be on Saturday, April 18th, 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover Street, Fort Collins.
Both of these concerts are free. Hope to see you there!

What a great crowd at the opening of our music season this past Saturday, Oct 25, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins! Thank you so much for your support through your attendance and generous donations. The Swing Band really enjoyed playing for friends and residents of the Bethesda Gardens retirement community on October 24, 2025!

We're back! Rehearsals for the 2025 - 2026 season are now underway. It's great to see our band members again after the summer break and especially to welcome several new members!

New Horizons International Music Association is an international nonprofit music organization providing seniors and anyone over age 50 an opportunity to play in a band. Our local Northern Colorado group welcomes beginners (qualified instructors are available), and experienced musicians, past and present. Many members played an instrument in school, but had set it aside for many years. Others use the opportunity to try a new instrument. Our musical groups include: Concert Band (Blue), Intermediate (Red) Band, Swing Band, Woodwind Ensemble, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, a Saxophone Quartet, and a Brass Ensemble.
We meet from September through early May with rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Good Shepherd Church, 3429 N. Monroe Avenue, Loveland, CO 80538. Email: NorthernColorado.NHB@gmail.com for details to join the band.

Our band has once again been awarded a generous grant from the City of Fort Collins FOCO Creates to support our 2025-2026 season. We want to thank the City Cultural Review Board for continued support of our unique community programs. Their efforts help make Fort Collins a special place.
The New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA) is celebrating 33 years of music making. The city of Fort Collins supports many cultural activities including our group through the FOCO Creates grant program.
