Our band has once again been awarded a very generous grant from the City of Fort Collins Fort Fund to support our 2021-2022 season. We want to thank the City Cultural Review Board for continued support of our unique community programs. Their efforts help make Fort Collins a special place.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our rehearsals and performances are still on hold. We are hoping to resume our rehearsals in September 2021. We await further CDC and local guidance.
New Horizons International Music Association is an international nonprofit music organization providing seniors and anyone over age 50 an opportunity to play in a band. Our local Northern Colorado group welcomes beginners (qualified instructors are available), and experienced musicians, past and present. Many members played an instrument in school, but had set it aside for many years. Others use the opportunity to try a new instrument. Our musical groups include: Concert Band, Beginning/Intermediate Band, Swing Band, Dixieland Band, Woodwind Ensemble, and Hand bell Choir.
We meet from September through April with rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Good Shepherd Church, 3429 N. Monroe Avenue, Loveland, CO 80538
The New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA) is celebrating 30 years of music making. The city of Fort Collins supports many cultural activities including our group through the Fort Fund grant program.
