This is a basic website created around images of writing and drawings, by soldiers in a World War 1 Hospital, in a Nurse's Autograph Book. The aim is to share the material with families of those featured and anyone else who wishes to learn more about attitudes in that period. Thus there is no commercial use of any of the material, which is provided "as is". Copying any of the material for non-commercial purposes is permitted if sufficient acknowledgement is provided.

Sick and Wounded Soldiers from Canada and Australia as well as the United Kingdom contributed to Nurse Dora "Dolly" Derham's book, and living relatives have been traced in all those countries.

The site is still being added to as more soldiers are identified and families traced. Daughters of three of the soldiers have been contacted during the research, though grand children, great grand children and more distant relatives have been contacted in most cases. Corrections, suggestions, further information and especially any further images are welcome.

It is suggested that the best place to start is at the top of the side menu on the left, and following the viewing instructions for Dolly's Book.
