NA Inline Hockey Board Membership and Chairperson Descriptions:
The qualifications of the Board of Directors:
Current membership in good standing
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
A desire to work with parents and players in the promotion and development of a successful inline hockey program
Ability to attend 75% or more of the scheduled monthly Board meetings
Responsibilities of Board of Directors Positions:
President
Preside as a chair of NA Inline Hockey Board meetings
Ensure that there are representatives at all PIRHL meetings
Schedule all NA Inline Hockey Board meetings and secure location
Communicate with NA Inline Hockey volunteer chairpersons and schedule them to report periodically at scheduled Board meetings
Ensure that the NA Inline Hockey organization is operated within the established by-laws
Assist with securing rink time for team practices/ working with Head Coach
Oversee long range planning for NA Inline Hockey
Work with Head Coach and Team Coaches on players’ issues – discipline and academics
Coordinate fundraising efforts
Attend all meetings scheduled by NAAD for Organization Presidents
Designate members to attend additional area meetings that are relevant to NA Inline Hockey’s interests
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Vice-President for High School
Assist Head Coach for the Varsity and high school program by interfacing with the NA Inline board
Coordinate Unified Boosters Scholar Athlete participation with the UBO Representative.
Coordinate Volunteers for Senior Night, including scheduling of Senior Night through PIRHL representative
Assist with the recruitment of coaches and provide recommendations to the NA Inline board
Ensure coaches have met all requirements of the PIRHL including coaching clinics and AAU Insurance, trainings, and clearances are up to date
Ensure coaches communicate regularly with player families
Serve as an aide to the President and preside in the absence of the President
Serve as a liaison between the Board and the Coaching staff
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Vice-President for Middle School and Vice-President for Elementary School
Assist with the recruitment of coaches and provide recommendations to the NA Inline board

VP Emeritus
Assist with the recruitment
Provides advice and leadership to the board regarding best practices and other matters to assist the board in governing.
Assist Head Coach and VPs with player placement and preparing rosters
Assist coaches with player/parent relations
Assist coaches with skill assessments and practice plans

Secretary
Record the minutes of all Board of Director and Parent meetings
Provide complete meeting minutes via email to all Board members within one week of each meeting’s conclusion
Provide a brief verbal accounting of the previous Board or Parent meeting at each Board meeting
Have custody of the minutes, transcripts, correspondence and all other important records of the Association and provide a copy to any board member if needed
Perform registrar duties for the association for evaluation registration and player commitment through FamilyID
Update and maintain player rosters and a player database providing updated contact info to the Communication Manager and Web Master as needed
Reconcile player registration payments with the Treasurer’s PayPal reports
Work with the Head Coach and VPs to plan player evaluations
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Treasurer
Maintain the NA Inline Hockey financial records and ensure that the Association is in compliance with standard accounting practices
Collect funds and keep a full and accurate accounting of all funds, including monthly bank reconciliations
Reconcile PayPal account with FamilyID registration payments
Monitor the Pelly scholarship fund
Disburse funds as authorized by the Board of Directors
Ensure checks have the required two authorized signatures
Present a financial report at each regular Board of Director and Parent meeting
Prepare an annual financial report and proposed budget for the May/June Board of Directors meeting
Prepare and file tax forms and returns if necessary, as required by the IRS or other governing agencies
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Member At Large
Work with VPs and Coaches to verify that all required forms are completed and the AAU/Wells Fargo insurance is current for all players
Keep player physician's release forms for all non V-1 players secure for the season then securely destroy them
Ensure all players who need a concussion Impact test have one on file (grades 3,5,7,9,11 and any player new to the organization)
Coordinate any additional Insurance Coverage deemed necessary by the board
Work with the Head Coach and High School VP to ensure all seniors turn in their PIRHL $50 deposit fee by the deadline
Maintain record of NA Inline coach certifications
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Webmaster
Maintain and update the Association’s website
Create, in conjunction with the Communication Manager, all TeamSnap and Facebook communications and ensure timely delivery to membership
Work with all the North Allegheny Schools to promote NA Inline Hockey; website link, NATV coverage etc.
Post Board meeting information and other important notices/information on the NA Inline website
Oversee sale of advertising space on the website and assist with ad design
Update and manage the NA Inline gmail account
Inform the Board of ad traffic on the website
Oversee recognition plaques for advertisers
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
PIRHL Representative:
Attend all PIRHL Meetings and other PIRHL Committees as necessary
Coordinate AAU Membership for NA Inline Association
Attend all Training sessions required by PIRHL, and obtain all Coaching Certifications
Complete PIRHL Rosters and submit to league by deadlines along with League Fees
Maintain communication with PIRHL about disciplinary items regarding NA Inline teams
Maintain communication with PIRHL in reference to games schedules, event schedules, game cancellations, etc. and relay information to appropriate people.
Coordinate dates for Coaches to attend PIRHL Coaches Clinics as required by league

Communication Manager
Handle all official Association correspondence in a timely manner
Work in conjunction with the Web Master to communicate association info through TeamSnap, the website and Facebook.
Work with individual NA schools to promote the organization through the Friday newsletter and school announcements
Identify and secure other means within the NA community/townships to promote the organization
Oversee placement of NA Inline Registration yard signs throughout prominent spots in the community from March 15 – April 15 each year.

Non-Board Volunteer Positions
Equipment Manager
Maintain the equipment inventory for all NA Inline teams
Keep a full and accurate accounting of all NA Inline equipment
Coordinate with coaching staff regarding supplies needed
Provide Coaches supplies including pucks/medical kits, water bottles etc.- Collect and store for the following year
Have all Goalie Equipment cleaned/serviced as necessary
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Photo Day Manager
Schedule photo day for organization, coordinating with the North Allegheny Calendar to reduce conflicts
Work with the Board to secure a photo day location
Work with the Communication Manager and Webmaster to promote photo day information to the association
Communicate with senior parents regarding senior plaques
Provide NAAD with V1 senior photos for the senior plaques
Order non-V1 seniors plaques through photographer
Provide Yearbook staff at NASH, NAI, CMS, IMS, MMS with team photos, and individual photos as requested
Uniforms Manager
Schedule uniform sizing dates, allowing time for orders to be placed & shipped
Order all uniforms and maintain list of jersey #’s so that there are no duplicates
Design/ order all new jersey’s and pants for the organization Elementary- Varsity
Manage used jersey inventory
Maintain a record of all Payments made for uniforms and forward itemized checks to treasurer
Clothing Manager
Organize vendors for annual NA Inline clothing sale
Have samples of clothing/ order forms available to the association
Coordinate with Webmaster to link online clothing sale site to the NA Inline webpage
Maintain record of all clothing sold/profit for the benefit of the Eric Pelly Scholarship fund
Provide Treasurer with itemized checks
Coordinate Clothing deliver by deadline
UBO Representative
Attend all NASD UBO meetings
Provide UBO with NA Inline overview
Share NA Inline important dates/fund raising info to the UBO
Provide UBO update reports to the NA Inline Board
High School Banquet Manager
Secure banquet date/time/location
Present banquet menu to Board for review
Secure menu with vendor
Set program agenda
Work with Communication Manager and Webmaster to create and send “Save the Date” and banquet registration info
