4th Grade Research Unit
Welcome to the world of time travel and news reporting . . .
Your discovery of time travel has changed the world as we know it! Due to your new ability to travel through time, Channel 17 has started a new segment . . . I Survived History - I Was There. You have been asked to use your time travel capability to go back to some of the most memorable times in history and report live for the news station.
You will research a historical event topic and compare and contrast 1st and 2nd hand accounts of the event. You will create a graphic organizer and research notes from the information you gather, write your news story script, and film your news story. You will submit your product to the station manager for approval for a headline story on the Channel 17 evening news with the lead anchors.
