Norristown High School Class of 1955
P.O. Box 119
Oaks, Pennsylvania 19456
Due to the continued uncertainty with the coronavirus pandemic and its many restrictions, the committee for the 65th NHS Class of 1955 Reunion has decided it would be best now to postpone our 65th year reunion from October 24, 2020 to October 23, 2021. The reunion luncheon will continue to be held at “Chadwick’s in the Club of Shannondell, Audubon, PA. Please hold the date, final details and reservation forms will be sent out in the summer of 2021.
We wish to thank those of you who sent in checks to be a “Reunion Booster”. These funds are being held in an account and are being used to help defray the cost of postage, printing and other expenses involved with organizing the reunion. In the event the new date is not convenient for you and you desire a refund of your donation, please let us know and we will be glad to refund your donation.
We have included in this mailing on the reverse side, hotels and interesting places to visit all within a 5-mile radius of Chadwick’s for those out of towners who may want to come in for the weekend.
Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience but feel the change is in everyone best interest, hopefully, a vaccine will be ready for the spring and restrictions will be eased.

Other things to do that weekend:
American Treasures Museum, Oaks, PA in the 422 Business Complex, (best kept secret ever, most local people don’t know about it) containing thousands and thousands of except ally interesting things we all grew up with and recognize. This tour which is a tram ride that takes about an hour and a half, was offered to attendees at our Mini Reunion in 2016 and was well received from those who attended. There is so much there you won’t be able to catch it all as there is too much at which to look. There is also the world’s largest self-playing piano organ and calliope. Elmwood Park Zoo: Has come a long way since hour high school days. It’s a completely new and different zoo today, it is so clean and modern and well cared for compared to the old days when it was free and mostly unsupported except for small grants from the borough. It is the second largest Zoo in the state, but it’s still growing like crazy and always expanding. Today it is a recreation center for all. In addition to animal exhibit and petting barn, there is a very large playground, an outdoor musical sound lab, numerous rope cat walks and zip line rides in the “Treetop Adventures; area and much more. Check out the zoo’s website, https//www.elmwoodparkzoo.orq
