Norma and Richard Mayer are proud to present their Isaac de Camondo project. His compositions were rediscovered by the Mayer's in the archives of Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris on one of their concert tours. They are part of the Camondo family legacy that survived World War II and the Holocaust, sadly unlike the Camondo family itself.

See this site for the Mayer's recordings of their arrangements of selected songs by Isaac de Camondo.
About Isaac de Camondo:
Isaac de Camondo (1851-1911) is regarded as one of the most enlightened art collectors of his time. In addition, he was himself a composer and benefactor of musicians, deeply involved in the musical life of Paris, where he sat on the board of the Opera and Opera-Comique, encouraging contemporary music. His compositions express a nostalgia for the Age of Enlightenment, so fundamentally a part of the French mentality at the end of the nineteenth century: the idealized world of Watteau, Couperin, and Rameau inspiring Verlaine and finding myriad echos in Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, and Isaac de Camondo.
