Our evening meeting was a pleasure. We had a chance to relax, have some fun and yes, conduct a little business.

While we were eating we talked about our fund raiser An Afternoon with Mike McGrath. I am pleased to report the reservations are going well, thanks to my friend Carolyn Heuser, master gardener who sent out an e-mail blast to the gardeners. Reservations are coming in from all over. Thanks to our own Karen who has also reached out to some master gardeners. Several friends who have businesses, for example landscapers are also email blasting for us. With that in mind call me with your reservation so you don’t get shut out.

Since Drew, owner of From the Garden is our event sponsor, we discussed presenting him with a plaque, ad well as Mike. It is a little late to solicit additional event sponsors, but if anyone knows where we can get some waters, and some desserts please let me know.

I am attaching the flyer again with the hopes of you passing it on.

SCHOLARSHIPS – I spoke to Sheryl Voter this afternoon, she is from the Freehold Regional District. As you may know, the applications are all on line, and we were expected to print them out. Anyway, like last year, they will print them for us. Applications are early, in fact, they are due the first week of April and we’ll have them by the 13^th of April.

IEP YOUTH SERVICES – The annual Paul Robinson Golf Fore Kids is scheduled for May 14^th at the Hollywood Golf club in Deal. Sharon was asking for volunteers to help with registration, monitoring the holes etc. If you are interested please let her know.

MILESTONES – Congratulations to Mindy and Brett Rosenthal on the birth of their grandson Shane Rosenthal born March 1^st.

In addition former member Helene and Randy Elo welcomed their first grandchild, Jacob Lyon on February 3^rd . Much love to all.
