James Chaney

James Chaney (james.chaney@mtsu.edu)

James Chaney received his Doctorate from the Department of Geography and Anthropology at Louisiana State University. He joined the Global Studies and Cultural Geography Program at Middle Tennessee State University in 2013 where he serves as the program's cultural geography coordinator. His research interests include migration, transnationalism, identity and place, and Latin America. He has published scholarly articles on the migration and adaptation strategies of Latin American migrants in the American South. He is currently conducting research on contemporary immigrant communities in Nashville, Tennessee.
