September 2011 – July 2012: Visiting researcher at the Department for economic and technological change in ZEF, University of Bonn. Responsibilities included compilation of database, data analysis and literature review on food security and regional economic cooperation in Central Asia.
June 2008 – December 2011: Senior Researcher in ZEF/UNESCO Development Research Project on Sustainable management of land and water resources in Uzbekistan. Main responsibilities included (i) research and capacity strengthening through an active in-country presence; (ii) support and supervision of research and capacity building activities via participation in specific empirical research, support of targeted training programs, and supervision of research and training activities within the project’s economic domain; (iii) contribution to project reports; policy communication between the project and local stakeholders in Uzbekistan through face-to-face meetings, regular research seminar series, publishing science/policy briefs; establishment/maintenance of links with national research institutions.
July 2002 - May 2008: Junior Researcher at ZEF, University of Bonn, in the framework of the ZEF/UNESCO Development Research Project on Sustainable management of land and water resources in Uzbekistan: Main responsibilities included (i) development and integration of bio-economic farm model FLEOM; (ii) development of partial equilibrium model for the Khorezm province KhoRASM; (iii) implementation of farm and household surveys; supervision of market surveys; (iv) design and compilation of project’s socio-economic database.
