Possibly!
What we're looking for: Authors who want to take the time to express themselves, let us see their thought process there on the page. We're not looking for people who will treat the interview like a quiz, but rather as an opportunity for self-expression. We want depth!!!! Imagine that you're a guest on a talk show. Bring us a story, have something to say. Be charming! Seduce or at least get the attention of the readers! If your answers aren't interesting enough to spark a conversation, then you really won't have done your job, and you will have wasted this opportunity.
If you think that you're up to the task, then contact that Noah guy at Noah@noahmullette-gillman.com and let him know that you are interested in being interviewed. (But please be certain you have read this entire page before doing so!)
He will need to know where to find the free preview pages of your book, which are usually between 10-30 pages.
He will actually read the free preview for every author he interviews before writing the questions. If your preview doesn't interest him, he will not contact you with questions. Rejection letters will not be sent.
There are currently no genre requirements.
Since only 2-3 interviews are published a week, it can take a while for him to reply. Please be patient and do not assume that your preview has been rejected. Noah is a writer and a teacher and all of this takes priority over doing interviews. When he does decide to read a new preview, he takes a look at all of the authors who are interested and picks one to read which appeals to the mood he's in. It is a haphazard process which can mean that authors who have recently contacted him may hear back quickly, or you may have to wait for some weeks.
But if you are patient and your work is good, you can expect to hear back from him sooner or later along with a list a questions written specifically for you and with a lot of care. As readers of the interview series will know, he usually asks 10-12 questions, and then the interviewee is invited in turn to ask him one question. That can be about his work, their work, life, or anything under the sun.
Once your interview is published, please tell all of your friends and fans where they can find it. DO NOT copy and paste the whole thing onto your own website. If you do that, then you are benefiting from his work without giving anything back! If you would like to post one question and it's reply on your page to draw interest, that would be acceptable. Otherwise, please just supply a link to this website where they can read the interview in its entirety. (And maybe also discover some other writers they will enjoy!)
Any other questions, please ask!
