Oysterhaven (Click here for map)
Head towards Kinsale from Cork city.
In Belgooly, turn left between the 2 pubs.
Follow road for about 2 miles and turn right at sign (Posted Oysterhaven).
Follow this road and go straight through junction by Oz Haven Restaraunt.
Go past sailing centre and stop by the second slipway near the Coastguard Station
Nohoval Cove (Click here for map)
Go to Carrigaline.
Directions through Carrigaline: Go straight thru town centre. Go past the Bank or Ireland and 100m after the pedestrian crossing you turn left up the hill. (It looks like it's straight on)
Follow this road for a few miles. (It goes up a hill and then down a hill.) At the next T-Junction turn left. 500m down the road you come to Minane Bridge. Go over the bridge and take the next right hand turn. Follow this road for a few miles. Go straight through each crossroads. (Last one is a small bit skewed to the right). You eventually come to a T-Junction with a School house on the left hand side. At this junction turn right and 50m later after an s-bend turn left. It should be signposted from here.
Alternatively, you can make your way to Nohoval, (Take the Kinsale road. Turn left between the two pubs in Belgooly, Follow this road until you see a sign post for Nohoval) From Nohoval follow the road to Robert's cove. Two miles down the road just before an S-Bend you should find a sign post for Nohoval cove. Follow the signposts.
From Cork take South Link Road.
Take the Douglas Estuary Link exit before the Kinsale road roundabout.
Take the third exit signposted for the car ferry, taking you through the Bloomfield interchange and up onto Carr's hill.
At the Shannonpark roundabout take the second exit for Carrigaline.
Drive straight through carrigaline. (Past the hotel, over the bridge and past the Bank of Ireland) At the top of the town go straight ahead up a steep hill. (You're actually turning left as the main road swings to the right at that point)
Follow this road for a few miles until you come to a T-Junction. Turn left for Minane Bridge.
Go straight through Minane bridge (over the bridge and past the church)
This road will go straight to Robert's Cove.
Cork to Bandon on the N71
Continue on N71 through Clonakilty, Rosscarberry to Leap
Take the R595 to Skiberreen
Go through Skibbereen following the signs to Baltimore (R595)
On the way to Baltimore there's a turn-off for Lough Hyne on the left. This is signposted but keep your eyes peeled as it's easy enough to miss.
As you reach the lake, take a left to go clockwise around the lake. You should see the slip on the right after a few hundred metres. There's car parking just beyond.
Go to Bandon. (Western Rd, Wilton, South Ring etc..)
Upon entering Bandon turn left at first roundabout. (Bypass) Next T-Junction turn Right.
200m down hill turn left on to main road (You may now have right of way)
Soon you'll enter Oldchapel and you'll need to take left hand turn signposted Timoleague.
You'll need to turn left again 100m up the road. (Watch signposts)
Follow signposts to Timoleague.
Upon entering Timoleague there should be a signpost for Courtmacsherry. You'll need to go past a Castle and go over a causeway so you can't really go wrong.
Upon entering Courtmacsherry go past the pubs and you should come to a junction where you turn Right (signposted to Broad Strand)
Follow the road until you see a signpost for Broad Strand. (Left hand turn)
Adrigole (Click here for map)
Adrigole is half way between Castletownbere and Glengarriff on the Beara penisula.Quick Directions: Cork-Ballincollig-Crookstown-Kealkill-Glengarriff-Adrigole Detailed Directions: Cork - Ballincollig bypass (ring road - N22) - Turn left for Crookstown (Half way between Ballincollig and Macroom)
Center of Crookstown turn right (sign post for Castletownbere - R585) - Follow this main road for 15 mins but look out for a right hand turn to Castletownbere which is several miles before Dunmanway. Just before this turn off the road turns 90 degrees to the left and it's a major junction to Macroom. After this bend there's a pub on your left. After the pub about 300m down the road should be the turn off to the right you need to take. (R585)
This road will take you over the Cuosane Gap and end up in Kealkill. Turn left at Kealkill (R581) At Ballylickey turn right for Glengarriff (N71). At the top of Glengarriff turn left for Castownbere (R572). Alternative route: Cork - Bandon - Ballineen - Dunmanway - Drimoleague - Bantry - Glengarriff – Adrigole
Garnish Pier, Allihies (Click here for map)
From CastletownBere go straight through town towards Allihies.
Keep on following the Coast Road. (There's a secondary road that goes over the mountain)
Watch out for a left hand turn for Dursey Island Cable Car. It's just before a mountain pass. (It's two miles before Allihies)
Take this road. Note it's twisty (as some club members have found out) so take care.
It starts with the mountains on your Right Hand Side and the Sea on your left. After a few miles you will pass through a mountain pass and you find the mountains on your left hand side and the sea on your right.
About 200m after this pass there is a turn to the right which you will need to take. You're almost there.
If you look down to the sea you should see a few small islands and a Pier. This is Garnish Pier.
Kilcrohane (Click here for map)
Cork - Ballincollig Bypass - Crookstown - Bealnablath - Coppeen - Shanlaragh - Dunmanway - Drimoleague - Durrus (Take Sheeps Head turn) - Ahakista - Kilcrohane. The pier is just after the town.Alternative: Cork - Bandon - Enniskeane - Ballineane - Dunmanway ....
