Project Photos

My 902 MHz transverter is homebrew and include a 30 Watt amplifier.

I used Altoids boxes as as shielded enclosures for the individual sections. The local oscillator signal (466 MHz is produced from a 50"ish" MHz TTL oscillator "I am filtering and amplifying the 9th harmonic"). I use SAW filters to clean up the LO at 466 MHz and also at 902 MHz. It may not be a thing of beauty however it works pretty well!

This is a photo of my 30 Watt 1296 amplifier. This was built from a kit that was offered by the SBMC and was an amazing project! The enclosure was given to me by a friend who works in the cellular industry.

WA5YWC machined out the enclosure so that the amplifier board would mount flush to the chassis. Bob is an amazing craftsman!
