OUR Work

Members of the Executive Board of the New Jersey Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators proudly announce that we have reactivated our organization and its members are, once again, united as a strong voice for teacher education aimed to facilitate the health, development, and learning of young children. Our organization represents early childhood teacher educators from across our great State of New Jersey. Our constituencies are our community colleges, private and public universities, and other relevant sectors engaged in the preparation of teachers of children from birth through age eight.

Our mission is to bring together early childhood teacher educators, colleagues, and other stakeholders, by providing greater communication and support for our separate initiatives devoted to teacher education for working with young children. We support our members’ professional growth; we foster awareness of our contributions and needs from among legislators and others who make policies affecting funding for young children’s health, education, and well- being; and we encourage research initiatives and dissemination as well as policy advocacies for early childhood education initiatives at local, state, and national levels.

The COVID-19 pandemic will forever change early childhood teacher education. More than ever, we will play a key role in reimagining what early childhood teacher education needs to be. Please join us in our efforts to collectively advance our mission!

Our members are proud and strong.

Our voices are clear and focused.

Our support for the New Jersey early childhood teacher educators is steadfast.
