I am an Assistant Professor in the finance department of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

My research primarily focuses on venture capital and private equity. More specifically, my work looks at how agency problems and contracts in private equity impact investment and management behavior. I am originally from Cologne, Germany, where I received my diploma in business administration and my Ph.D. in finance from the University of Cologne. Prior to my faculty role at Indiana University, I was a post-doctoral research associate at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

I teach Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Finance at the undergraduate level.
