I am an Assistant Professor in the finance department of the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University, and a Research Affiliate with the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. 

My research primarily focuses on venture capital and private equity. I have worked for Deutsche Bank Private Equity and Analysis Group. I am originally from Cologne, Germany, where I received my diploma in business administration and my Ph.D. in finance from the University of Cologne. Prior to my faculty roles at San Diego State and Indiana University, I was a post-doctoral research associate at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

I teach Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Finance at the undergraduate level.
