Linux Mint Menu Font

Problem

Menu of Linux Mint - The characters appear too close to each other and this results in distortion of fonts.

This problem is not specific to Mint Menu.

The same problem appears in Open Office Spreadsheet.

Note: See how the highlighted characters "Hello how" are distorted.

Solution

Go to Menu -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Fonts (Tab) -> Details... (Button)

Font Rendering Details window will open.

Change option "Slight" to "Full" to fix the problem.

Now, font are more visible and better than the previous one.
